Panchkula, Aug. 10 -- The Haryana Government has proposed declaring areas around 15 state-protected monuments and archaeological sites as prohibited and regulated zones to protect them from mining and construction activities.
The Heritage and Tourism Department issued a draft notification stating that the area up to 15 metres from the protected limits of the monuments/sites is proposed as a prohibited area, while the adjoining 30 metres beyond that is proposed as a regulated area for mining and construction.
