Panchkula, Sept. 2 -- Haryana Police has arrested 45 cyber fraudsters in Gurugram in just "seven days", in a major crackdown on online crime, recovering Rs 2.27 lakh in cash, eight mobile phones, two SIM cards and two passbooks from the accused.
According to a Haryana Police officer, teams from the Gurugram Cyber Crime Police Stations made arrests between August 24 and August 30, targeting cybercriminals involved in fraud operations across multiple states.
The accused were allegedly involved in investment fraud, digital arrest scams, trading fraud, social media fraud, APK file scams, fake Instagram IDs, Instagram hacking, sextortion, ticket-booking fraud and job scams.
