Chandigarh, July 18 -- In a major policy push to formalise unplanned industrial growth and improve the ease of doing business, the Haryana Government has opened the door for the regularisation of unauthorized industrial colonies outside municipal limits, a move expected to benefit thousands of industrial units operating without access to planned civic infrastructure.
The Town and Country Planning Department has notified amendments to implement the Haryana Management of Civic Amenities and Infrastructure Deficient Areas Outside Municipal Area (Special Provisions) Amendment Act, 2025, extending the scope of the state's 2022 civic amenities policy to industrial colonies for the first time.
