Panchkula, July 31 -- The Haryana Government has introduced a new property tax system based on the capital value of properties for Municipal Corporations under the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994.
Issued by the Urban Local Bodies Department, this notification replaces the property tax notification from October 11, 2013. It sets updated rules for calculating and collecting property tax, including new tax rates, usage-based multipliers, exemptions, discounts, and penalties.
The system will start on August 1, 2026.
