Chandigarh, May 21 -- Haryana home minister Anil Vij on Wednesday launched the "ShramMitra" mobile application aimed at digitally connecting workers and employers across Haryana, saying the platform would modernise the labour sector and gradually reduce dependence on traditional labour chowks.
Launching the app, Vij said the initiative was part of the government's push towards digital transformation and would function as an electronic employment exchange for daily wage workers. He said the application has been designed to establish direct, transparent and quick communication between labourers and employers.
