Panchkula, June 16 -- Haryana Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana called upon farmers across the state to gradually shift from chemical-intensive agriculture to natural farming, warning that excessive use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers is adversely affecting human health, soil fertility and the environment.
Addressing a farmers' awareness meeting organised under the state-wide Natural Farming Awareness Campaign at Bidna Bhoj Naita village in Morni block of Panchkula district, the minister said the time had come to adopt sustainable agricultural practices to safeguard future generations and restore ecological balance.
