Panchkula, July 17 -- Haryana has moved closer to becoming a leading electric mobility hub, with the state's power distribution companies installing 789 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and charging points across the state by June 30, achieving nearly 88 per cent of the annual target within the first six months of 2026.

The rapid expansion of the charging network has been spearheaded by Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) as part of the Haryana Government's push to strengthen clean transportation infrastructure.
