Haryana has second-largest operational high-speed corridor network: Centre

Neeraj BaliChandigarh, July 23 -- Haryana has the country's second-largest operational National High-Speed Corridor network after Rajasthan, with 615 km of corridors completed and another 223 km under construction, the Centre informed the Lok Sabha on Thursday.

Replying to a starred question, union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said Haryana has been awarded a total of 839 km of National High-Speed Corridor and Expressway projects under the Centre's highway development programme.

According to data tabled in Parliament, the Centre has awarded 10,389 km of National High-Speed Corridors and Greenfield Expressways across the country. Of this, 4,809 km has been completed, while work is underway on the remaining 5,580 km.
