Panchkula, July 31 -- The Haryana Government now provides a complete exemption from motor vehicle tax for new electric vehicles priced up to Rs 30 lakh and a 20 per cent tax rebate for newly registered CNG vehicles purchased in the state.
The Transport Department has issued a notification amending the Haryana Government's 2017 rules for motor vehicle taxation under the Haryana Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 2016.
The notification states that newly registered pure electric or battery-operated two-wheelers, three-wheelers (including autos and e-rickshaws), and four-wheelers purchased in Haryana with an ex-showroom price up to Rs 30 lakh will receive a full exemption from motor vehicle tax at registration.
