Chandigarh, April 29 -- The Haryana government has initiated a comprehensive set of measures to bolster disaster preparedness across the state in anticipation of the upcoming monsoon season.

Dr Sumita Misra, Financial Commissioner (Revenue) and head of the Disaster Management Department, has issued directives to all divisional and deputy commissioners to activate robust response mechanisms. The state's strategy focuses on mitigating risks associated with potential floods, heatwaves, and drought conditions through coordinated efforts between district and state-level authorities.
