Chandigarh, March 5 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced on Thursday that the state government has implemented a new policy requiring a separate tender process for any expansion in the scope of work of ongoing projects. This strategic decision is designed to prevent arbitrary budget hikes and effectively manage issues related to cost enhancement that frequently arise during project implementation.

The Chief Minister emphasised that this move would bring greater transparency and fiscal discipline to state-funded infrastructure and development works.
