Chandigarh, July 30 -- Haryana is stepping up preparations for the Supreme Court of India's "Samadhan Samaroh 2026", with Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi directing all Administrative Secretaries to identify cases that can be resolved amicably ahead of the nationwide Special Lok Adalat scheduled from August 21 to 23.
The Chief Secretary told administrative secretaries that all departments need to take an active role to make the initiative successful.
The program is meant to encourage mediation, reduce unnecessary court cases, and expedite the resolution of pending disputes. Departments have one week to complete case identification. There will be a review meeting on August 3, and all administrative secretaries must attend in person.
