Panchkula, Aug. 20 -- Haryana has established a new legal framework for sports associations. The Haryana Sports Registration Council now has the authority to register state-level sports groups, oversee sports administration, investigate complaints and misconduct, and supervise four regional councils across all districts.
The Haryana Sports Department issued two notifications under the Haryana State Sports Associations (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2024. The first established the Haryana Sports Registration Council under Section 3(1), while the second created four Regional Sports Registration Councils under Section 5(1).
