Chandigarh, April 3 -- The Disciplinary Action Committee (DPC) of the Haryana Congress met on Friday to discuss allegations of cross-voting during the recent Rajya Sabha elections found two MLAs guilty of cross-voting. The disciplinary committee chairman, Dharampal Singh Malik, indicated that Punhana MLA Mohammad Ilyas and Hathin MLA Mohammad Israil have been deemed guilty of cross-voting as they failed to respond to the show-cause notices issued to them.

Malik noted that their silence confirms they acted against the party's interests, signalling a potential rebellion within the ranks.
