Chandigarh, July 14 -- In a move aimed at strengthening rural healthcare infrastructure and expanding professional education for women, the Haryana government has approved the establishment of a Government Nursing College at Dongra Ahir village in Mahendragarh district.

The state has granted formal approval for the project, with departmental procedures for its implementation set to begin shortly.

Announcing the decision today, Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao said the proposal had been approved in response to a long-pending demand from residents of Dongra Ahir and adjoining villages.
