Panchkula, June 7 -- The Haryana government has notified the Final Development Plan (FDP)-2041 for Gohana, charting a roadmap for the planned expansion of the Sonipat district town into a major urban centre within the National Capital Region (NCR).
The plan envisages accommodating a population of 3.23 lakh by 2041, nearly five times the town's municipal population recorded in the 2011 Census. Spread across 2,606 hectares, the development blueprint provides for residential, industrial, commercial, institutional and green zones while addressing long-standing infrastructure deficits.
