Chandigarh, May 14 -- Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) on Thursday declared the Class 10 examination results, recording an overall pass percentage of 89.6 per cent, with girls outperforming boys in the state board examinations.

HBSE Chairman Dr Pawan Kumar said that a total of 2,76,640 students had appeared in the matriculation examinations this year, out of whom 2,47,860 students successfully cleared the exams. He said 16 students secured positions in the state merit list.
