Panchkula, Aug. 27 -- Haryana BJP president Dr Archana Gupta strongly criticised the Congress over the alleged incident in the Haryana Assembly in which Congress MLA Induraj Narwal allegedly snatched papers from the hands of a Dalit-Sikh legislator during the ongoing monsoon session.

Dr Gupta said the Assembly is the highest forum of democracy and that differences should be expressed through democratic debate rather than by attempting to silence or behave disrespectfully towards an elected representative.

She said the families affected by the 1984 anti-Sikh violence deserved justice and dignity. If an elected representative raises the issue in the House and seeks an apology from Congress, she said the response should be grounded in facts ...
