Panchkula, Aug. 25 -- The Haryana government has prohibited, for one year, the manufacture, storage, distribution, and sale of any product labelled, described, offered, or sold as "Ghee" unless it conforms to the prescribed compositional standard for genuine ghee, according to a state government notification.
The restriction does not affect genuine ghee conforming to Regulation 2.1.8 of the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011.
