Panchkula, July 5 -- In a significant policy shift, the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has amended its 2016 policy governing allotment of institutional land to political parties in urban estates, substantially reducing the size of plots that can be allotted for their state headquarters.
Under the amended policy, the earlier provision allowing state headquarters of political parties to be allotted plots ranging from 1,000 square metres to 4,000 square metres has been replaced. Henceforth, political parties will be eligible for plots measuring only 1,000 square metres to 1,500 square metres for state headquarters.
