Panchkula, Sept. 16 -- A court at Fatehabad today sentenced two men to life imprisonment for killing a man with a kassi and gandasa during a dispute over irrigation of agricultural land in Jakhal in 2018, prosecution officials said.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Amit Garg convicted Gurmukh Singh alias Midda and Tarsem under Sections 302 and 34 of the IPC in FIR No. 116, registered on July 10, 2018, at Jakhal police station. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on each convict. In default of payment, they will undergo one year of rigorous imprisonment, the officials said.
