Panchkula, Oct. 3 -- Haryana Police's Special Task Force (STF) has arrested three alleged active members of an organised criminal network and recovered three illegal firearms and 50 live cartridges, foiling what police described as a conspiracy to assassinate a prominent individual, a police official said today.
Acting on intelligence inputs, the STF's Dadri team apprehended the three accused after receiving information about the purported murder conspiracy, the Haryana Police official said.
Police recovered one Zigana pistol with 22 live cartridges, one Romanian-made firearm with eight live cartridges and one country-made pistol with 20 live cartridges from the accused.
