Panchkula, June 21 -- Haryana's ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has gathered significant pace, with election officials distributing voter enumeration forms to more than 1.45 crore electors, accounting for 70.57 per cent of the state's total registered voters, according to the latest progress report released on Friday.

The exercise, being carried out under the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI), is aimed at preparing an accurate, updated and error-free electoral roll ahead of future elections by ensuring that voter details are verified through a comprehensive door-to-door campaign.
