Sirsa, July 20 -- In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Sirsa Police's Anti-Narcotics Cell arrested a motorcycle-borne youth and recovered 31.38 grams of heroin, estimated to be worth lakhs of rupees in the illegal market.

The operation was carried out as part of the district police's ongoing special drive against narcotics launched under the directions of Superintendent of Police Deepak Saharan.

According to police, the Anti-Narcotics Cell team was conducting routine patrolling and vehicle checking near a petrol pump on Rania Road when they spotted a man riding a motorcycle.
