Panchkula, Oct. 6 -- Haryana Police have intensified their crackdown on drug trafficking in Hisar, registering 25 cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and arresting 40 accused in the past one month, including three cases involving commercial quantities of narcotics, an official said on Tuesday.

According to the Haryana Police official, the sustained operation led to the seizure of 1.509 kg of opium, 119.4 kg of ganja, 250 grams of heroin/chitta, 320 grams of sulfa, and 11,700 tablets of alprazolam.

The action was carried out under the direction of Hisar Superintendent of Police Siddhant Jain, as part of intensified efforts to disrupt the supply and distribution networks operating in the district.
