Panchkula, June 21 -- In a major breakthrough in the sensational kidnap-and-robbery case that shook the Pinjore area earlier this week, Haryana Police has arrested two key accused immediately after they were discharged from hospital following a police encounter, taking the investigation into a new phase as a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probes the gang's criminal network and possible involvement in other serious crimes.
The case, which was solved within 48 hours under the supervision of DCP Crime and Traffic Amarinder Singh, involved the abduction of a youth from the HMT-Pinjore area, his forcible confinement for several hours and the robbery of cash, a mobile phone and money obtained through online transactions.
