Chandigarh, Oct. 10 -- For the first time, a large-scale, nine-day Garba-Dandiya festival will be held in Panchkula from October 11 to 19.
Held jointly by Shri Ratan Lal Kataria Seva Trust and Hotel Pallavi Grand, the event will be inaugurated by Suman Saini, Vice President of the Haryana State Child Welfare Council, with the lighting of lamps and blowing of conch shells. Admission will be free for the public on the opening day.
Addressing a press conference here today, Haryana State Scheduled Caste Commission Chairperson Banto Kataria stated that the festival is being organized under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
