Kaithal, Aug. 19 -- Anti Vehicle theft Staff Kaithal and Crime Branch Kalayat have arrested 5 men in separate incidents for alleged possession of illegal weapons and have recovered 4 country-made kattas, one 32 bore country-made pistol and 3 live cartridges from the possession of the accused.
DSP Sushil Prakash said that in the first case, on a tip-off, a team of the Anti Vehicle Theft arrested a youth from Karnal - Kaithal road under the Highway 152 D. The accused was identified as Manikant Bhardwaj, resident of Malkapur, District Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh.
During investigation, a 315 bore country-made pistol was recovered from the accused's possession. A case was registered against the accused at the Pundri police station.
