Panchkula, June 25 -- In a major move aimed at improving consumer safety, curbing power theft and ensuring uniform standards in electricity distribution, the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has issued a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the installation and rectification of pole-mounted energy meters across its jurisdiction.
The revised SOP has been made mandatory for all field offices and is intended to eliminate substandard meter installations while ensuring that all future installations comply with prescribed technical and safety standards.
