Panchkula, July 6 -- In a major crackdown against corruption, the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB), Jhajjar Unit, has arrested an Assistant Consolidation Officer posted at the Consolidation Office in Rewari while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from a complainant.
According to an official spokesperson, the accused, identified as Balwan Singh, had allegedly demanded Rs 2.50 lakh from the complainant for making corrections in the mutation of his ancestral land inheritance records.
