Nahan, April 15 -- On the occasion of the district-level Himachal Day celebrations, Industry, Parliamentary Affairs, and Labor and Employment Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan hoisted the national flag at Nahan Chaugan and saluted the grand parade.

Chauhan also paid tribute to the founder of Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar, and the martyrs.

Wishing the residents of the district a happy 78th anniversary of Himachal Day, the Industry Minister said that on April 15, 1948, eight months after independence, the state came into existence as a union Territory (Chief Commissionerate) from 30 small and large hill states.
