Chamarajanagar, Aug. 22 -- The probe into the shooting of three persons by forest personnel in Hanur taluk of Chamarajanagar district is nearing completion, with the magistrate's investigation report likely to be submitted on Monday, even as the vandalisation of solar fencing and gates has triggered fresh concerns over security and human-wildlife conflict.
Hanur MLA MR Manjunath said the magistrate's inquiry into the shooting incident was largely complete and the report was expected to be submitted on Monday. He said the findings could also be placed before the state legislature.
The development comes amid growing tension in the forest belt following the shooting of three persons at Shagya Beat in the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary.
