Hyderabad, May 11 -- Telangana Government Advisor V Hanumantha Rao on Monday said he had lodged a police complaint against Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his remarks against the Congress party during a recent public meeting in Hyderabad.
Talking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Hanumantha Rao alleged that Modi made "malicious" comments by describing the Congress as a "Muslim and Maoist party." He questioned whether Muslims were not part of Indian society and pointed out that the community had played a significant role in the country's freedom struggle.
