Hamirpur (HP), April 29 -- Normal life in all parts of the district was badly hit on Wednesday following light to medium rains coupled with thunderstorms last night.
Though the sky was cloudy this morning, it started raining around 8.00 A.M and was still on.
The temperature has also fallen, and people were seen adorning light woolens with full-sleeve shirts to keep themselves away from the cold.
The thunderstorms and the rains have caused extensive damage to the wheat crops lying for threshing in the fields and, in some parts, standing for harvesting.
People who were happy with the growth of their crops even due to the late arrival of rains were ashen-faced when it rained last night and today and wet the crops.
