Chennai, Aug. 2 -- Reiterating its demand that the proposed Mekedatum dam should ust be stalled at all costs, the PMK on Sunday said had the dam had already been built, the surplus water now released from the filled up Kabini reservoir in Karnataka, would not have reached Tamil Nadu.
In a statement here, PMK President and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss said the TVK government headed by Chief Minister Vijay must remain firm in its opposition to granting permission for the dam's construction and consult all political parties and farmers' organizations and formulate a clear and comprehensive action plan on the issue.
