Shimla, April 1 -- Himachal Pradesh government has operationalised the Outpatient Department (OPD) of Gynecology at Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla marking a significant expansion of women's healthcare services in the state capital.

Senior Medical Superintendent Dr. Rahul Rao said the new initiatives are aimed at enhancing patient care and reducing dependency on out-of-state medical infrastructure.

The facility, which was earlier functioning exclusively at Kamala Nehru Hospital, has now been shifted to IGMC and would operate from the second floor of Block-A.
