Chennai, June 18 -- Tamil Nadu Governor in-charge Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Thursday termed the uninterrupted conduct of Assembly proceedings and the reading of the customary address to the House in its entirety after a three-year hiatus on the first day of the first session of the new TVK government headed by Chief Minister Vijay, as the beginning of a 'new era' for the state.
Arlekar said delivering the Governor's address in full without disruption for the first time in three years, was a significant moment for parliamentary democracy in the State.
