Panchkula, Aug. 17 -- Haryana Police has intensified its traffic enforcement drive in Gurugram, with the Gurugram Traffic Police issuing 24,831 challans between August 10 and 16 and imposing fines totalling Rs 1,27,59,500 through field-level enforcement.
A Haryana Police spokesman said the action was carried out under the #ChallanNahiSalamMilega campaign, aimed at improving road discipline and raising awareness of traffic rules. Of the total challans, 8,210 were issued by traffic personnel on the ground, while 16,621 violations were detected through cameras.
Field-level enforcement included 892 challans for wrong-side driving, 80 for violation of road markings, 599 for pillion riders without helmets, 299 for driving without seat belts, 61...
