Gurugram, Oct. 22 -- Police have arrested a man for allegedly employing a 14-year-old orphan to transport goods in an e-rickshaw. In a separate case, three men were arrested and a juvenile apprehended for allegedly assaulting a watchman and his family over a garbage dispute.
In the child labour case, Rakesh Kumar, 24, a resident of Rampura village, was arrested on October 21. Police also recovered the e-rickshaw allegedly used to transport goods.
The investigation began after traffic police spotted the boy driving the vehicle near Jharsa Flyover on May 7. A case was subsequently registered at the Civil Lines police station.
