Ahmedabad, March 10 -- Gujarat Titans on Tuesday announced the appointment of former Australia opener Matthew Hayden as their batting coach for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 season.

In a statement, the franchise said the inclusion of Hayden would strengthen their backroom leadership as the team aims to bolster its batting unit ahead of the new season.

"Hayden's playing career speaks for itself. Having represented Australia in 103 Tests, 161 ODIs and nine T20Is, he amassed 15,066 international runs across formats," the franchise said.

A two-time ICC Cricket World Cup winner, Hayden was the leading run-scorer in the 2007 edition with 659 runs, including three centuries, and also registered what was then the fastest century in ODI...
