Nagpur, Sept. 6 -- : Gujarat Congress president Amit Chavda on Sunday demanded a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into reports of substantial donations received by several unrecognised political parties in Gujarat, alleging that a fair investigation could uncover links to senior BJP leaders.
Speaking at a press conference in Nagpur, Chavda referred to a BBC News Hindi report which claimed that six registered unrecognised political parties in Gujarat received donations in 2023-24 that exceeded those of all national parties except the BJP, despite contesting only one or two seats.
