Lucknow, Aug. 20 -- A gruesome double murder-suicide occurred within a 30-minute span on Thursday afternoon in the Gomti Nagar area in the state capital Lucknow.
Manas Bajpayee, 38, an audit officer at the State Bank of India, shot and killed his wife, Divya Mishra, a relationship manager at ICICI Bank.
The accused then returned to his home at Husadiya area and killed his sister, Tulika, who was in a room inside the house, and then took his own life.
According to Police Commissioner Tarun Gaba, there was a dispute between the husband and wife.
The reason why Manas suddenly took such a step is being investigated. Family members have been questioned.
Further action will be taken based on the evidence.
