Patna, May 15 -- Bihar Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Friday said that the state government is committed to promote organic farming and will also recognise and reward young farmers who excel in this field.
Sinha said here that in the current financial year, the government has set a target of establishing 100 biogas units, offering up to 50 percent subsidy with a provision ofRs 22,500 per unit. He added that, as in previous years, subsidies will also be provided for both permanent and commercial vermicompost units. For the financial year 2026-27, a target has been set to establish 7,500 permanent vermicompost units across the state.
