New Delhi, March 21 -- Marking a significant achievement in its energy journey, India has successfully ensured universal access to electricity across the country, a milestone that now forms the foundation for an ambitious transformation of the power sector, an official statement said on Saturday.
Building on this achievement, the government has outlined a forward-looking roadmap to strengthen the electricity ecosystem, focusing on sustainability, reliability and rising demand.
The initiative, led by the Ministry of Power, aims to align the sector with the broader vision of a developed India by 2047.
