New Delhi, April 28 -- The Centre on Tuesday asserted that there is no proposal at present to increase retail fuel prices, seeking to reassure citizens amid rising geopolitical tensions in West Asia that have unsettled global energy markets.
Addressing an inter-ministerial media briefing at the National Media Centre, officials from key ministries outlined measures to ensure uninterrupted fuel supplies, safeguard critical sectors, and maintain overall economic stability.
