New Delhi, March 16 -- The Ministry of Culture on Monday unveiled the names of winners of the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Awards for 2025, honouring literary magnates from 24 recognised languages of India.

The award presentation will be held at an official ceremony in New Delhi on March 31, officials from the Ministry said.

Recognising the literary contributions of one author from each of the recognised languages by the Indian government, a total of 24 awardees were selected. Each language had a separate jury panel comprising three judges, who selected the winners for the second-highest literary honour in India after the Jnanpith Award.
