New Delhi, Aug. 5 -- The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a one-year extension in the service of union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Sikkim cadre, allowing him to continue in the post until August 22, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
According to an official order issued on Wednesday, the extension has been granted beyond August 22, 2026, in relaxation of the provisions of Fundamental Rule 56(d) and Rule 16(1A) of the All India Services (Death-Cum-Retirement Benefits) Rules, 1958.
