Aizawl, March 17 -- Emphasising the need for policy grounded in local realities, Mizoram Governor Vijay Kumar Singh on Tuesday called for a deeper understanding of regional dynamics while interacting with a visiting team from the Centre for Contemporary China Studies (CCCS) under the Ministry of External Affairs.
The Governor, a former Army Chief, said that meaningful policy formulation requires first-hand knowledge of people and conditions on the ground, cautioning that decisions taken without such understanding risk serious misjudgment. He commended the visiting team for its work and described its field engagement as both timely and necessary.
