Ranchi, March 30 -- Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Monday extended greetings to people on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti while attending a religious function organised by Shri Digambar Jain Samaj in Ranchi.
Addressing the gathering at Birsa Munda Fun Park, the Governor said the life and teachings of Lord Mahavir continue to inspire humanity through the values of non-violence, truth, compassion and restraint.
He said Mahavir's message of "live and let live" remains relevant in the present global environment and promotes peaceful coexistence, tolerance and mutual respect.
