Itanagar, Sept. 15 -- Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik has congratulated mountaineers January Tali, Kampo Matey and Nyarian Matey for their recent achievements in mountaineering.
The Governor congratulated January Tali for becoming the first Indian woman to successfully summit both Mount Kun (7,077 metres) and Mount Nun (7,135 metres) during the same climbing season, between July 27 and September 8, 2026.
He also congratulated Kampo Matey and Nyarian Matey, both from Tirap district, for successfully summiting the 6,127-metre Mount Shinkun West in Himachal Pradesh as part of the Mount Shinkun West Expedition.
